We are so proud and grateful for all of you. Part of what oppressive systems perpetuate is the belief that we don’t have any power. while also dividing us. Shake it off. We have successfully challenged the ubiquitous ways that these systems sustain inequity and  apathy - by creating a sense of belonging, and establishing a collective responsibility rooted in love. The same model will be used for all elections here forward. 

As we settle into new candidate selections, new challenges and new opportunities, we must stay focused. 40,000 new voters registered in the last 48 hours.  Most of them 18-24 year olds. Hundreds of millions of dollars are being donated. Feminists report their Zoom calls have 30,000 and 40,000 attendees. Breathe that in.

Distractions are mounting. Media coverage is predictably filled with harmful stereotypes and coded language. The self-serving are making statements simply to be in the headlines. Project 2025 is being banned from Meta. Voices who challenge the status quo are being shadow banned. Perpetual shock at these antics is holding us back - this is what the systems do. Shake it OFF. 

 

Both political parties play their part in the systems which suppress us. WE, as a collective, will be unstoppable. #GetToWork​

The PowerUP model has always built on our strengths, and differences to understand how to work with, for, and next to each other to reinvent as needed. ​It will not be that different for this race - we will strive to stay true to our guiding principles. The biggest change will be a more free use of the word "feminist" or "feminism". We believe Feminism is for EVERYONE. It is Matriarchal. - egalitarian, relational-based, and protects the Land and People (@RelentlessIndigenousWoman). Secondly, our role will not be to "lead". We are small (but mighty!) - the plan is to amplify other larger organizations' efforts. Thank you for being here.
